Waiting game

I'm totally moved in and unpacked at my new flat, which I really like. It's so cute and very nicely decorated and cozy. The ceilings are at least 15 or 20 feet - no joke. It used to be a pub building. Anyway, the flat is great.

Unfortunately, BT is not so great. My flat was built ready for BT phone and internet, but my address isn't actually in the BT database. So they have to come and turn on the phone or whatever. I tried to get this set up around my move date by contacting them online a few days beforehand. They finally got back to me Friday to confirm some info and tell me that someone would be at my flat between 8 and 1 on Sept 16 to turn on the phone. I didn't have an option of dates or times, mind you, and I do work that day at school. Hopefully Andrew will be available to hang out at my flat that day in the unlikely event the engineer needs to get into the flat.

So I will have a phone line then. Only AFTER I have an official BT line can I SIGN UP for internet service.

SUCK!

Right now I'm borrowing Andrew's internet at our flat . . . now I guess it's his flat. I can also get online easily at the Tower of London. And when school starts on Tuesday I will be able to get online using their shitty computers.

I hate not having internet at home.
