Jet setting

I can honestly say this is and has been the most hectic summer I have ever experienced! Between rehearsals for the musical I assistant directed (our final show was tonight), planning for next year, trying to edit my book, unpacking and organizing things in our apartment (we moved in in April, just hadn't had time to actually unpack!), my grandfather's death, and Andrew's very hectic schedule, I haven't had a break! In fact, I can only recall a few days here and there where I've really allowed myself to chill out and relax all day.

Tomorrow - well, today, it's much too late for met to be up, especially after two shows today! - we will be returning to Oxford for a lovely two-week trip. Andrew will be graduating with his Master of Studies degree. We are both excited to return. I wish we could stay longer, but when we get back to the US we will only have one day off before we return to school for pre-planning. This summer is hideously short! UG!

If you're an Oxford reader, please drop us a line. We'll arrive Monday morning UK time. You can call our old UK mobile number or email either of us. We'll be able to access our email from there.

We're both bringing much more work with us than we can possibly accomplish. Not to mention the side trips to Edinburgh, York and London we have in mind. We're really fooling ourselves, but Andrew keeps reminding me that people DO see "all" of Europe in as much time.

Anyway, I have to get to bed. I'll try to update a few times from Oxford.

Have fun!! I hope you guys make it to Edinburgh; it's one of our favorite cities in Europe. Be sure to do the castle and visit the Greyfriar's Bobby (if you don't know what this is, ask any concierge or cab driver), but do the ghost walk through the catacombs only if you have time to kill. The places are interesting, but the "ghost story" part depends greatly on your guide and how good an actor he/she is. If you're looking for a good pub meal, be sure and visit Deacon Brodie's near High Street and the Grassmarket.
